Binder Evaluation #3

Student binders are due on Thursday, December 1, 2011.  This will be a major assessment grade this quarter.
Materials

  • 3 inch 3-ring binder
  • 2 or more pens
  • 2 or more pencils
  • 1 or more erasers
  • 1 or more highlighters
  • 1 sharpener
  • 1 zipper pouch

Organization


  • Zipper pouch in front
  • Agenda Book
  • 5 plastic subject dividers with pockets -- subject name clearly written on each tab
  • Assignment Logs behind each subject tab and in use

AVID Section

  • Binder grade sheets -- placed after the Assignment Log
  • Warm-ups located behind the proper tab
  • Handouts located behind the proper tab
  • Cornell Notes located behind proper tab

Content Area Sections
  • Mathematics -- Interactive Notebook is neat and has at least 5 Cornell Notes
  • Science -- Interactive Notebook is neat and has at least 5 Cornell Notes
  • Social Studies -- Papers located neatly behind the correct section dividers and at least 5 Cornell Notes
  • Language Arts -- Papers located neatly behind the correct section dividers and at least 5 Cornell Notes

Extra Credit


  • Dictionary/Thesaurus
  • Calculator
  • Ruler

TAKE NOTE:
This week we are reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey.  Students will read, take Cornell notes and discuss the text during class.
